Auto Motors of Lehigh Valley was formed by mechanics who wanted cars and trucks to last longer. More than 30 years later, extending the life of your vehicle is still the work we take pride in.
Our history
Our history in Whitehall, PA
1992: Founded on engine and transmission work
Charles Terry Kozo started the company in Whitehall, Pennsylvania, in 1992. His aim was an auto repair business focused on engine and transmission replacement, with cars and trucks that ran better and stayed on the road longer.
1994: Stephen Lang, Jr. joins
Stephen Lang, Jr. joined in 1994, bringing experience in diagnostics and general repair from his years at Lang’s Gulf. He bought the shop in 2011.
2011 to today: Derek J. Lang
His son, Derek J. Lang, joined the same year and took over management of the office in 2012. Derek bought the business in 2017. He has kept the shop’s commitment to engine and transmission repair and expanded its general maintenance and repair work. Today the shop runs seven bays with four full-time technicians.

What we don’t do
We focus on mechanical repair and maintenance. For a few jobs, we’ll point you to someone else.
- We don’t do collision repair, body work, paint or detailing. For those, we recommend Reliable Auto Body at (610) 433-3212.
- We don’t offer roadside assistance. For that, we refer drivers to Atlas Towing at (610) 820-5110.
